Ham Radio
In 1960 I was introduced to Amateur Radio by a band parent,Len Baker. It fascinated me to the point that I started studying and in 1961 I got my first ham license.
Since 1961, up until a year or so ago, I was very active in radio, especially in what is called "DX", meaning long distance talking. I have talked using the Morse code key, microphone, and the computer to do radio teletype.
At this point the only country in the world I have not talked with is North Korea. I have received cards confirming talks with all the others.
It has been a great hobby and I have spent many hours enjoying it and met a lot of people around the world . I was even issued a license in Australia when we were there.
The pictures (coming soon!) show my station here in Tavares and some other places I have operated from: Call sign---WA4SFF
